A few weeks ago, during the traditional annual celebration of "Day of the Dead", several locations around the world paid tribute to Roberto Gomez Bolaños "Chespirito", the creator of El Chavo del Ocho and El Chapulín Colorado.
Impressive how, despite being a typically Mexican tradition, there were altars in countries such as Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and, of course, the United States, where the Hispanic community keeps its traditions alive.
From kids in school, through offices and even museums; we ran into dozens of tributes across social media for the number 1 comedian in Latin America. Some focused the altar in a particular character like El Chavo del Ocho or Chapulin Colorado, others merged it with other Latin Artists such as Frida Kahlo and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, but they all had the same objective: pay tribute to the greatest idol of Spanish TV.
On this blog post we share some of the images. Tell us which one is your favorite and, if you know about an altar that we didn't post, send it over.
